My thoughts/Rant on NATURAL HAIR!

Natural is beautiful. Why? Because it exudes power &confidence & it’s who you are. NOT because is trendy and fashionable. I feel like the majority of girls that choose to go natural are doing it for the wrong reasons. I’m tired of hearing girls say ”omg her hair is cute, I want a CURLY fro” or “ I just want my hair to be healthy, so I don’t wanna use chemicals on my hair” I mean that’s all fine &dandy, but the reason I chose to go natural is waaaay deeper than that. I want to prove that society can’t define beauty. We’ve been taught to hate our natural hair &conditioned to believe that straight flowing hair is what’s pretty &’professional” ; it’s all bullshit! Lighter skin & straighter hair DOESN’T make you superior or more attractive. Oh &all you girls rocking Texturized hair you are not making it any better! Texturized hair is NOT natural hair. You go from relaxing your hair to look like someone else to texturizing your hair to look like SOMEONE ELSE  lol, same thing, different chemical! You are NOT READY to accept yourself for who you are, do you know what natural means? If your afro didn’t grow out of your head that way then you might as well have a relaxer &that’s real. Its still self hate! Ladies please educate yourselves, relaxers &texturizers were not created to make your hair “more manageable” ; people get relaxers and texturizers because of parents with self hate issues, lazy parents, or the need to fit in &be accepted, which all leads back to the past when black people were taught that they were unattractive so they wanted to look more European. Some things never change, if you open your eyes you’ll realize that we’re still being conditioned to do the same thing while naïve to the facts!
